Website Design Principles 2025
Read More3rd July, 2025
If your business has noticed a sudden surge or dip in organic traffic recently, it may be linked to Google’s June 2025 core update. Announced on the 30th of June, this major update is rolling out globally and is expected to take up to three weeks to complete.
Earlier today I read that SEO monitoring tools have flagged increased ranking volatility since the 2nd of July. While many site owners haven’t seen dramatic changes, fluctuations are expected as Google refines its algorithm over the coming days and weeks. This is a broad core update, meaning it affects all types of content. Google’s goal is to better display relevant, high-quality content across all languages and regions. June’s update will influence areas like Featured Snippets, so visibility here may be impacted too.
With a three week rollout, it will take time to see the full impact. Our advice is to be patient. Use tools like Google Search Console to track changes and ignore early fluctuations. If your organic rankings drop, review your website. Assess whether your content is helpful, well-structured, and written for people (not just search engines). If improvements are needed, focus on enhancing user experience, updating outdated content, and refining your keyword strategy.
Core updates like this aren’t designed to penalise sites, they aim to reward content that best serves users. If you’ve seen positive gains, keep doing what your doing! If performance has dropped, use this time to review, optimise, and plan ahead. If you need help diagnosing ranking shifts or refreshing website content, get in touch today. At Tidy Design, we support businesses with SEO audits, planning, content strategies, and long-term organic growth.
Until next time, keep it Tidy!
