Our work with Kidney Research UK was pretty intense over a 2-3 year period, we helped this awesome charity develop GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate) software which is now being used by 20+ NHS Trusts across the UK. Our role in this project was to develop, support, maintain, update and modernise ASSIST-CKD.
ASSIST-CKD is a fundamental tool to help with the research and treatment of kidney disease, managed by Kidney Research UK and supported by The Health Foundation. The aim is to identify patients across the UK at highest risk of CKD progression – a simple concept which not only offers value for money but also a real chance to improve renal patient journeys.
As well as developing bespoke software for this charity we designed an ASSIST-CKD logo, created branded report templates, participated in software training days, attended and spoke at national NHS conferences. As mentioned above it was a busy 2-3 years, one of our biggest challenges being the adoption of ASSIST-CKD within different NHS trust. Each trust was set up slightly differently, be it network configuration or LIMS, we had to support both IT departments and laboratories across the UK!View Site
"There is a great collaborative team at Tidy Design and one that I have enjoyed working with on a daily basis since April 2016. From reviewing a string of code developed by another team to re-writing the code, developing and validating in the NHS, nothing has been too much trouble. They are always available at the end of the phone or by mail which is so important to any client working on a fast moving and ever-changing project. The new eGFR software (for the early detection of Chronic Kidney Disease) has taken just 10 months to produce, which is very quick turnaround in IT world. Mike and his team have carefully listened to our needs, and those of the NHS Laboratory Scientists to produce a unique piece of software that is effective and easy to use and will ultimately improve patient outcomes in the UK"
"Tidy Design are a professional, responsive and customer-focused team. With their support we have been able to deal with issues immediately at NHS sites before they become problems"
