FAQ Tidy Design SEO Service

The Sandbox Theory

I was reading up on some SEO some months ago and I came across the Sandbox Theory, it takes a long time for new sites to get listed and ranked by Google and an even longer time for all backward links pointing to sites to be taken into account. It's normal Google behavior that a new web site is not listed in the natural (unpaid) search results for about six months. This Google practice is called the Google sandbox. Google's sandbox is a relatively new filter that appeared to be put in place back in March of 2004. The sandbox filter seems to affect almost all new websites, with very few exceptions. It is important to note that the filter is not a punishment for anything the website did, the filter is merely an initiation period for new websites. New sites come and go every day so Google now looks at all new sites as possible spam, so please be patient

Duplicate Website Content

Research has led us to believe that duplicate content is Google's number one enemy! As Google is the biggest fish on the web we need to keep her happy! However, other search engine that don't quite have the sophistication of Google may still penalise any minor duplicate content, so your tidy tip is to make sure your web content is at least a little different!! According to Google, not offering any real value to the internet community is bad!
