HappyEaster

A Happy Easter to you all!

Hard to believe it has been 3 months since our last newsletter! With so much going on where do I start! ...Well, most importantly we are all in good spirit and Tidy Design beat its first quarter of 2009! During these tough economic times we are very fortunate to be expanding as a company. In March 2010 we even took on a forth member of staff to allow us to grow and cater for more projects.

Website Designs 2010

Tidy Design has been very busy designing new sites for a variety of different companies! Over the last three months we have had sites confirmed all over the UK and as far afield as New Zealand!

I would like to express how impressed I am with the website you designed for London Wine Futures. To be totally honest I did not believe that it would be possible to create what we were looking for in such a short period of time, but you kept to your word and produced a website that exceeded my expectations in every aspect. You definitely have a good eye for design and a very professional business manner, if you ever need a formal reference please do not hesitate to ask.

With Thanks,

Here to help.

In March 2010 Tidy Design created an affordable website package for start-up companies! We understand that not everyone can invest thousands into an all singing all dancing website when setting up a new business so we have created a two page site with contact form for 150 GBP! Read more

In the second quarter of 2010 Tidy Design also agreed to design a FREE website for a Hands for Hope charity... We aim to help this non-profit organisation who work with residents of Kampala's informal settlements, primarily in Uganda. More information coming soon to TidyDesign.com

Freedom of Blogging?

The first case of a censured blog arose this week after journalist Rod Liddle wrote on the Spectator’s site that “the overwhelming majority” of violent crime in London is carried out by young Afro-Caribbean men.
The Press Complaints Commission ruled that the statement was not accurate therefore breaching section 1 of the Editors' Code of Practice. Publication websites should apply the same standards to print editions.

So what does this mean for personal blogs? Of course there is a clear distinction between a personal blog and a journalist writing an article for an influential magazine, however will or could the rule extend?
Those of us on Twitter have all seen the explicit language used by fellow tweeters. Many say that Twitter is a great tool to practice freedom of speech. However in the real world explicit language used in an aggressive manner under S5 of the Public Order Act 1986 is a prosecutable offence, therefore shouldn’t the same policy be applied towards the virtual world?

FREE Web Marketing Tip!

As the volume of web content continues to grow, search engines will be looking for more relevant and unique content from companies. Did you know that search engine algorithms are already beginning to pay more attention to date of publication, past behaviour and social media content... Read more

Finally...

Tidy Tom has been hard at work developing some cool iPhone apps as well as working here at Tidy Design. He has recently published an app Snippety Snip 3 http://appmedoo.com/apps/snippety/ to make it quick and simple to shorten a link on your iPhone or iPod touch. Tom also has a few other pretty cool apps in development that should be released very soon.

Tidy Design has also created a bespoke Business Networking Link website. The aim of this FREE website is simplicity! We want it to be easy to use, fun, informative and most importantly give its members the contacts they need to save money, locate a service, promote a product or discuss business!

Well... Another newsletter sent, another quarter over! Many thanks for taking the time to read the above. You can find out the latest news from Tidy Design on our website 24/7 or please follow us on Twitter for realtime news and special offers!

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like any content updated on your site, maybe a new page added, photo changed etc... We would be delighted to help :)

Have a great Easter weekend and second quarter of 2010!

Kindest regards

And the entire Tidy Design team
