Every year so many awesome people, athletes, celebrities and charity teams travel down to the historic city of Portsmouth to take part in the Great South Run.

Today we walked into Southsea to offer some tired legs our support; any event that raises millions each year for a variety of charities deserves a cheer or two! A report on the BBC said the Great South Run of 2011 attracted a record numbers of runners; this is great news for the local area and all involved.

Great job and many congratulations to all who took part.

After a very busy week back at Tidy Design, today was the day I planned to chill out with my little boy and watch Wales beat France in the Rugby World Cup… Ok, that didn’t go according to plan, and after a pretty emotional morning for Welsh rugby, the wife and I went to Petworth Park for a long walk with our newborn son.

I took lots of photos on our trip, today experimenting in black and white photography accompanied with a grainy film filter… I’ve uploaded a small selection below:

Those of you who work with Tidy Design will know Rosie, my wife and partner in the business. Anyway she has had a roller coaster of a year, difficult pregnancy and last week not the easiest of births! The midwifes and doctors at QA did an amazing job, looking after mum and baby, from our arrival, dash to theatre and discharge, the support given was truly awesome!

Meeting our little boy for the first time, Isaac Ryan Ward was a life-changing experience, one we shall never forget, and with so much going on, I have decided to close Tidy Design this week, opening again on Monday 10th October… You could call it my maternity leave.
